For Friday, April 12, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Since you are precious and honored in My sight,
and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you,
and people in exchange for your life.
Isaiah 43:4

While driving along the interstate recently, I drove underneath a huge sign overhead,
which read,"Expect Delays". I laughed.
It seems that life is full of delays, but we do not always have a sign appear in front of us,
to warn us of them in advance.
Unexpected delays are inevitable, and we can only view them from the eyes of a
loving Father, Who is speaking, "Not yet, My Child, Not yet."
We learn patience through delays, which is not all bad.
Experiences may often linger, some may linger and linger a little longer.
While in these situations, it is best if we can relax and watch God at work, in
whatever He is working.
It also helps to realize that He loves us so, that He is involved in
our daily mundane lives, enough to work out each and every detail.
We are precious to Him, as He is to us.

Tell Me About the Master

Tell me about the Master!
I am weary and worn tonight.
The day lies behind me in shadow,
And only the evening is light.

Light with a radiant glory
that lingers about the west,
My poor heart is aweary, aweary,
And longs like a child for rest.

Tell me about the Master!
Of the wrong He freely forgave,
Of His love and tender compassion,
Of His love that is mighty to save.

For my heart is aweary, aweary,
Of its woes and temptations of life,
Of the error that stalks in the noonday,
Of falsehoods and malice and strife.

Yet, I know that whatever of sorrow,
Or pain or temptation befall,
The Infinite Master has suffered,
And knoweth and pitieth all.

So tell me the old, old story
That falls on each wound like a balm,
And my heart that was burdened and broken
Shall grow patient, and calm, and strong.

Note: Please help us to pray for those in need, in
the Prayer Requests section. Also, post any
prayers there for others to pray for you.

Pray for Colin Powell this weekend, Family,
that he will gain much favor in his peace talks,
and that the spirits of hatred and retaliation
between Israel and Palestine will be subdued.
Pray for both leaders to place their countries,
their people first, and to set aside past hurts,
and wounds.

I approved the printer's proof of my book
today, and it is now set for the press.

I will be gone over the weekend, and will not
return until Monday. The devotionals will
resume on Tuesday morning.

Have a safe, and blessed weekend, Family.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

As water reflects a face, so a man's heart
reflects the man.
Proverbs 27:19

To think of something grand, which will be of
benefit to you, is wonderful; to think upon something
which will be of benefit to others is divine.
Dreams of things that are helpful to mankind are
worthy of pursuing.
It is the silent inspiration of the heart that perseveres, produces, and endures.
Grand thoughts do not fall by the wayside, but
are planted in a fertile soil, in the garden of a loving
heart.

Dream Dreams

Dream dreams of real compassion
And the joys your dreams could bring.
Dream dreams of their fulfillment
And the sad you helped to sing.

Then think of ways of making
These good dreams to come true.
The good Lord needs more dreamers
Yes, the Lord has need of you.

He needs your hands to minister
To the sick and insecure,
Your life to be a sermon
How to love and to endure.

He needs your voice to tell men
The humble Gospel story,
And to spread abroad the knowledge
Of His great love and glory.

Note:

Upon my visit to deliver the baby items to the Pregnancy Crisis Center, one of the mothers accepted Jesus, as her Savior while I was there. :-)
The ladies were so grateful for the baby items, and are in real need of receiving blankets, diapers, and baby food. If you would like to help, please contact me.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
Ephesians 6:10

If questions seem to outweigh answers, the
mind can become busy with reasonings which
do not make perfect sense.
Only God has the perfect reasoning and a mind
stayed on Him, can rest in quiet trust.
He walks with us daily, listens to all of our
conversations; those which we speak audibly with
others, and those which we engage in, within ourselves.
Place your thoughts upon Him, His widom, His
power and all your concerns will subside. Trust Him for the
answers and in due time, they will come.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

Only Trust Him
God knows your secret longings,
He knows your silent tears,
and even within the shadows
His hand is on your fears.

When your head is on the pillow
in the wee hours past midnight,
just trust that God is with you
somewhere within your room this night:

Watching, never sleeping,
He tends your fragile care,
and in the quiet hours a vigil keeping,
He breathes for you a prayer.

Just trust Him for the answers,
that a questioning heart can't give,
for God holds your every tomorrow,
knowing your "each today" is His.

For Tuesday, April 9, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

"Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be
exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10

Sometimes, unexpectedly, we see God at work in
something that pertains to our best interests.
It is such a joy to wait upon Him, to trust Him, for the most perfect way.
The waiting may be difficult; the being still, frustrating,
but is worth it all, whenever we witness Him in action,
in perfection.
How amazing He is.
If you are waiting right now, I urge you to continue and
trust. It is well worth it.
Continue to seek Him every day, His ways. In time, He
will reveal, He will manifest His perfection. Praise the Lord.

Extra Things

We thank Thee, God, for extra things
You send along our way
Both when our days are sunny bright
and when our skies are gray.

The little planned surprises dropped
From Thy great, loving hand,
Like unexpected showers on
a parched and desert land.

The meeting of an old-time friend,
The lifting of a care,
And sunlight breaking through the clouds,
To tell us You are there.

Just why You do these extra things
Our finite minds don't know;
It must be You delight in them,
Because You love us so!

Will be making a delivery to the Pregnancy Crisis
Center this week. Had so much fun shopping for
baby needs the other day.
If any would like to pitch in and help, please do so.
The needs are great, as this is an area where
mostly textile families have lost jobs recently, and
communities are in economical pain. The center
serves five counties, offers counseling, and also
alternatives to abortions.
I believe that we are blessed, in order to be a
blessing.

For Monday, April 8, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

An anxious heart weighs a man down,
but a kind word cheers him up.
Proverbs 12:25

The affliction of loneliness is difficult to
bear, and many suffer daily.
The afflicted often fall victim, in such
circumstances, to the added torment of
the enemy, and become depressed, as well.
God's Word brings strength, healing, and a release from tormentive thoughts and
imaginings which rise up against the lonely.
Remaining in His Word, depending upon
His promises will bring perfect peace, His
power to change the situation, and His
compassion to be extended to the heart and
mind, which needs Him.
Remember the lonely this week.
Sometimes, a simple telephone call will bring much delight, and lift someone up
in prayer, who needs a friend.

The Sunshine

Even though the sun may be shining,
For some, it's difficult to see the light.
With hearts downcast and lonely,
Days seem to be all night.

But, Harken, O weary and burdened heart,
and look upward to the sky,
For God is ever on His throne,
and His help is always nigh.

Speak to Him, during those lonely hours;
Ask Him to bring a friend.
He has all power to open windows of the
heart,
and bring His Sonshine in.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

Dear Father,
Today, I lift up those alone, who are lonely, who have been set aside, set apart,
and isolated from others.
Lord, bring a new hope into their hearts today, and open up new windows in the soul, which will bring the sun shining into the rooms of their spirit.
Father, help them to take ahold and grasp the power of Your words, and to
receive from Thy loving cup, the peace, the joy which You have for them.
Father, bring new relationships, and renew old ones, and bring new opportunities for them to meet new friends, and to become re-acquainted with the old.
Father, bring support from the community where they live, and help them,
Father, to not only see Your sun shining today, but to feel it in their hearts, as well.
In the name of Jesus, I ask, pray, and
believe, and thank You for answering this
prayer in behalf of the lonely today, and I
give You all the praise, all the thanks.
Amen
