For Friday, May 10, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.
Psalm 106:12

During the course of a child's life, this verse is a true testimony of motherhood.
The many times prayers have been uttered from mothers' lips for a child, are
countless.
Mothers have never had an easy time in rearing children, but today's mother,
I feel, has a difficult time that is unlike any other.
There are so many issues to deal with, which happen outside the home, which
affect her children.
It's my prayer this weekend, that all mothers will have a wonderful Mother's Day,
and that all the single moms will know that our hearts and prayers are with them,
every day, as they strive to raise children alone. I pray that for those who may
be estranged from their children, that God will comfort you and bless you with
something special on Mother's Day.
I pray that God will bless all women, whether a mother or not, with a mother's heart.
God bless all you mothers out there.

Prayer for Mother

Dear Father,
Keep my mother in the stillness of the night,
and let her sleep refreshingly until the morning light.
God bless her as she goes about her loving, working day,
just doing things for all of us in her own precious way.
Please make her happy,
as she makes us, time and time again.
And, bless her daily, please, Dear God,
for Jesus' sake, Amen.

A Mother's Love

A Mother's love is like a rose,
with blossoms full and wide,
She always blooms whenever in need,
to offer her comfort, until grief subsides.

She greets us with a loving smile,
that we carry with us, wherever we go.
Her love embedded through our pages of time,
blesses and encourages us so.

A Mother's love is gentle,
soothing, to the child held close.
No other love is as refreshing,
because she is the one who loves us most.

She knows our every virtue,
She's aware of our every flaw;
She loves us unconditionally,
because she's a Mother, after all.

For Thursday, May 9, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"
Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the waves, and
it was completely calm.
Matthew 8:26

Trusting in God is not only a requirement in our journeys, but
is an essential.
Whether it is a family problem, a physical problem, or a financial
problem is immaterial to Him, as He is the Alpha and the Omega
of all things.
A confident Christian has learned how to lay down a burden
at the foot of the Cross and is able to continue on, trusting and believing
it has been taken care of, in the most perfect way imaginable.
The Master is more than able to consider the problem, weigh
and examine each heart involved, and then He looks past today,
past tomorrow, into all the tomorrows which are to come.
There is no reason to question His ability, or His Word.
If you are having problems with finances, trust Him to take your
tithes and offerings, to multiply those seeds, and to return the harvest
from which they yield. Our seeds have to be given to Him, they have to be sown,
in order to grow, and they should be sown with a generous
attitude and spirit. God loves those who give generously, with a loving
heart, with loving intentions. If an opportunity comes today, for a seed to be sown,
do not let it pass you by. You will miss a blessing.
If you are having a problem trusting Him, look inside yourself
and answer the question, "Why?"
That answer is found inside of you. The Faithful One remains
faithful always, and has promised to do so, until the end of the Age,
everlastingly. He never changes.

God Promised
God did not tell me,
Only roses would grow,
That I'd find no sorrow,
On the path I must go.

But He promised to be there,
Each step of the way,
Providing a way to escape,
The temptations each day.

His grace all sufficient,
Daily to see me through.
He'd help me to conquer,
And be victorious, too.

Note: I have offered to help three needy families, who are on
the verge of losing their homes. If any of you would like
to give toward this need, please do so. I will pray over
every gift, and ask God to give back to You, many times,
what you have given. Thanks.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

. . . . Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and your soul
will delight in the richest of fare.
Isaiah 55:2

Whenever we are in troubling times is the time that we know His peace the best,
because only He, at that particular moment, can ease our troubled spirits.
He can spontaneously, upon hearing the cry of a child, dispel a heavy heart,
lighten a burdened load, and walk us gracefully into the garden of His sweet,
satisfying serenity.

Garden of Serenity
I walk into this garden,
A place I know so well;
It's the Garden of Serenity,
the place where the Holy Spirit dwells.

His love completely overwhelms me,
while encircled by His love;
A peace that is so comforting,
and is sent from the Heavens above.

I love this Garden of Serenity,
for surely, it's Holy Ground.
I feel the warmth of God's sweet spirit,
as it comforts completely and surrounds.

For Tuesday, May 7, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

For you know the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that though
He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you
through His poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9

Our individual missions to help others find the way in this
world should never go unfinished, neglected.
Such a rich reward it is for us in this present world, to see a
life changed from groping in the darkness, to HOPING in the
Light. Amen?
If we can extend a hand, to play a small part in that process,
we shall be blessed in our own spirits, strengthened in our
own faith, and lifted high in honor, by the angels who witness
to our faith.

Mission

Oh, for a heart to know Thy will,
a mind to walk Thy ways,
That I may all Thy wants fulfill,
And thrill to sing Thy praise.

Increase my talents, Lord, I pray
That I may prove to be
A help to others on the way
To Thine Eternity.

Without Thy guidance I am lost,
And dumb, but that I speak
Thy words to those whose paths I've crossed
A light to those who seek.

I wish to hear no other voice
Than the words that set me free,
For, when I made Thy will my choice,
I thrilled to walk with Thee.

I want to seek and find a few,
Now groping in the dark,
Who've never heard, or ever knew
The words to fan that inner spark.

That they have glowing feebly there,
That, when Thy Spirit hovers near, and sweet,
Then they will know Thy loving care,
That spark a flame, and life complete.

For May 6, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

As we walk upon our Christian paths today, many of us can
recall the days and the times that we were not seeking God's
will in our lives, walking in disobedience.
Some of the incidents that may have taken place in our
lives witness to the fact that even though we were not living
our lives for God, we were still taken care of, protected from
circumstances which could have been disastrous, and still
loved.
We have so much to be grateful for. So great is His
faithfulness and so wonderful, His love.

His Faithfulness

I'm so glad that I no longer walk,
upon the pastures of the foreign land;
that the Lord is ever near me,
and holds me by the hand.

His Presence leads and guides me,
as I trust daily in His power.
His love and His faithfulness are mine,
every day, every minute, every hour.
