Good Morning, Folks !!!

When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord,
He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:7

There are many benefits and blessings which we
receive by walking in the Light of the Lord, and one of
the most appreciated is peace.
The peace of Our Father God is so great, that even
our enemies shall remain respectful of us, and held at
bay.
As others become familiar with our ways, may God
keep us in perfect peace, with all nations.

It can't be bought for money
or sold like precious gold.
And all who have possessed it
have found it hard to hold.

It's Source is everlasting
like moonlight in the soul,
It generates a power
to comfort and console.

Unseen, it seems to blossom
upon the human vine,
like roses in a garden;
so fragile, yet divine.

We need not understand it,
for it's a sacred thing.
Rejoice if you have found it,
the soul's eternal spring.

Have a safe and blessed weekend, Folks,
and may peace be with you, and in all your homes.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, in Our
likeness. . . . . . .
Genesis 1:26

How we look upon ourselves is often in the light of the shadow
of the one with whom we are comparing ourselves to, and not
a true revelation of our true selves.
Comparing ourselves with others is unfair to us, unfair to God,
Who has created us uniquely, separately, from any other individual.
While twins may often look the same on the outside, on the inside exist
two very different personalities, with contrasting thoughts,
interests, opinions, and desires.
The outer shell of a human being is not the true person. It's
the inside, the innermost, which usually bears witness to the
real person.
With a heart that seeks after God, we can bear the image of
Christ, regardless of any outward appearance, and His light shall
surely shine through us.

To See Ourselves

God, help us to behold ourselves
Not by our brightest star
As we may seem to others now
But as we really are.

Help us to analyze our worth
With thinking that is sound
And so be certain that we keep
Our feet upon the ground.

And thereby never to forget
That all great deeds we do
And every claim we have to fame
belong at last to You.

There is no problem on this earth
That we could ever face
Or any dream that could come true
Without Your loving grace.

So help us, God, to serve You well
And draw a little nearer
As humbly we appraise ourselves
When we look into a mirror.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

So then, those who suffer according to God's will
should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
I Peter 4:19

Have you ever been in a location or situation
where you felt out of place?
I think that whenever we find ourselves in this
mindset, that it is God's way of directing us, moving
us, into change.
We notice a restlessness in our spirit, a desire to
spend time with Him, so that He can reveal His plans
to us.
He has wonderful works planned for those who
make themselves available to Him. We know that
those plans will not fail, every step securely placed.
Praise Our Father God.

We Follow
We follow God in sunshine,
We follow in pouring rain;
We seek Him in the joy,
We seek Him in the pain.

He calls our names, we follow.
He sets the purpose in our hearts.
We cannot walk a single step,
until He lights our way in the dark.

We follow God,
as we carry our Cross.
We follow Him wherever He leads.
We serve Him as we give to others,
and we serve Him by comforting each
heart that bleeds.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

Dear Father,
Sometimes, we find ourselves in distant places,
places away from You.
Father, help us to incline our ears to Your heart,
and to listen with our spirits, the way You wish us
to go.
Father, let us not miss any opportunity which
You may have planned for us today, and help
us to know, that You are near, that You are close,
and that we need to follow You.
In the name of Jesus, I pray, trust, believe as
I pray, and thank You, Father.
Amen.

For Tuesday, May 21, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

It is only by God's grace that we are able to live our lives,
one day at a time, in the present. Our trust in His love for us,
His interest for our well being, brings us even greater peace.
Whenever we can reach the point of confident knowing, it is
a sign of how we are growing, in Him.
He quietens us, and He sings, just as a mother comforts her
young, with a sweet, reassuring lullaby. We are His children,
resting in the shelter of His mighty wings.

God of Grace

O grant us faith, dear God of grace,
that strengthens and sustains,
A faith that reigns triumphantly
Through all our earthly pains.

Grant comfort that reveals Thy love,
Console our hearts, we pray;
God, wipe our tears, and courage give
to walk in hope each day.

O grant us peace, dear God of grace,
Peace Thou alone canst give;
That we may rest our souls in Thee,
And in Thy sweetness live.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."
John 14:18

There may be times that we are troubled in the spirit and just do
not feel like sharing with another.
The Holy Spirit always knows the condition of the heart and whenever
a heart becomes troubled, the Comforter is always near.
Walking in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is
like walking while continually being embraced in His warmth,
all day long.
There is no greater comfort, than to be enfolded in the
strong arms of Our Lord Jesus, Our Comforter.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

The Comforting Spirit

Whatever the need in the sorrowing heart,
Such groanings of spirit defend their own part.

When thoughts are unsettled and teaming with fear,
and grieving moods plagiar the mind of its cheer;
When self would abandon its faith, in the night,
The Sentry of mercy is armed for the fight.

An Indwelling Presence moves into control;
From pain in the spirit comes peace in the soul.
