Good Morning, Folks, and Welcome to All New Readers!!

I, even I, am He Who comforts you. . . . .

Isaiah 51:12

During the days that are filled with disappointments, failure,
delays, and frustration, encouragement is badly needed for the
contrite spirit.
The Holy Spirit within is able to perceive the condition of the heart,
and knows when we need encouragement, comfort, and supplication.
Our Father God has promised to comfort, to ease the pain, and
to turn our disappointments into blessings. Our faith may be put to the
tests of endurance beyond that which we think we can handle, but He knows,
and He is aware, and He will bring us through to that silver lining, that light at the end of the tunnel.
We must continue to believe, to trust, and surrender it completely into His hands. As you
surrender, ask for His peace to strengthen you, and to bring peace of mind until victory comes.
Victory will arrive, in all its splendor, as we do so. Let your response bring the reaction,
which He is waiting for, complete dependence upon Him, and the
acknowledgement of His awesome power, with praise and thanksgiving.

Meditation

Search into the garden
Of your soul and you will find
A gem of priceless beauty
Like a jewel that's most divine.

Meditate in silence
And with each breath release
A faith that's filled with magic
And a magic filled with peace. . .

For in your quiet moment
You will surely visualize
That in this rest of peacefulness
God will unveil a prize.

A prize that's been unnoticed
Like a jewel that has been lost
But now in silent meditation
You can hear His faint response.

Like a choir of angels singing
For we mortals here below,
if we take the time to listen,
His miraculous touch will flow.

Flow free from every corner
The invitation's clear
If you take the time to listen,
Then God's music you will hear.

For May 30, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

But God, Who comforts the downcast . . . . .
2 Corinthians 7:6

God is faithful to us, in both the good times and in the bad.
He never leaves us, never forsakes us, and whenever we
stumble, He doesn't throw His hands up into the air, and declare us
a hopeless cause.
Quite the contrary, it is when we are struggling, when we are
stumbling, that He comes closer, whispers our names to draw us nigh
unto Him, and calls us by name. We miss Him many times, because
we run in the opposite direction.
If you are hurting today, don't run. Stand still, call out to Him,
and let Him comfort you, let Him embrace you with His love.

Water the Flower
I picked a flower yesterday
and put it in a glass.
I filled the glass with water,
in hopes that it would last.

Its beauty overwhelmed me,
And its fragrance filled the air,
That it could last forever,
was the wish that I declared.

But, alas, the day had ended,
and as tomorrow came,
Its beauty was all faded;
It would never be the same.

How great that God's not like this flower,
That dies when it's been cut,
Each time we trip and stumble,
He is there to pick us up.

He's a Friend Who won't forsake us
If we water Him each day,
With our love and adoration,
And our willingness to pray.

For Wednesday, May 29, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen
you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ
may dwell in your hearts through faith.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. .
Ephesians 3:16-17

In the planning of our individual creations, it would be
awesome if we could have heard Our Father God, as He
planned and purposed our lives.
It is in our daily walks that He brings about the events
and circumstances which help us to grow and meet the
requirements needed for the completion of the works
which He has predestined us for.
I wonder, if at times, we amaze Him, with our instantaneous
responses to help fill the needs of others?
Our reactions to such opportunities reveal our true hearts,
the hearts which He has molded with His two hands, and
deposited His love. It is wonderful to carry His love within us.
May He give each of us a new refreshment in His Spirit,
and an increase in His love today, to reach out, without
thinking, to those in need. I think this is the kind of heart,
the kind of love, He searches for, from His throne in Heaven.
We are blessed.

Creation Prayer

Each morning is a fine new creation,
A fresh canvas on which to paint my day.
Help me look upward for inspiration,
Master Artist, guide my plans, I pray.

May I begin my work with grateful praise,
Apply my brush with fervent prayer,
My hand held by Your steady hand, Lord,
Warm colors spread with loving care.

Though I may paint no masterpiece,
The art that's wrought is Yours, and mine.
I humbly ask,
"Help me erase my willful flaws in our design."

Good Morning, Folks!!!

. . . " I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring,
and My blessing on your descendants."
Isaiah 44:3

The greatest gift we can give our children is the
knowledge of Jesus Christ, the inheritance of His favor,
and blessings upon each one.
He has promised to remember all those that are ours,
to keep them in His covenant, and to pour out His Spirit
upon them. How blessed we make them, as we continue
to trust and obey.

Prayer Request:
Please pray for the families of the victims lost at the I-40 bridge
in Oklahoma this weekend. Also, keep the person who was controlling the barge in prayer.

Please pray for all those who are separated from their
families during the week, while working and traveling.

A Prayer for Those We Love

"Our Father Who art in Heaven,"
Hear this little prayer
And reach across the miles today
that stretch from here to there.

So I may feel much closer
To those I'm fondest of
And they may know I think of them,
with thankfulness and love.

And help all people everywhere
Who must often dwell apart,
To know that they're together
in the haven of the heart!

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Hoping that you are having a safe weekend.

Since this is Memorial Day, I wish to share with you,
a special poem, and it was written during the Desert
Storm mission. This poem still applies today, as well.
May God bless all the servicemen, servicewomen, who
are dedicating their time and abilities to the protection
of our country, and thanks to all those who
have done so in the past.

To Our Soldiers

I reach from the bottom of my heart,
for the words I wish to say.
I'd like this poem to be something special,
to help brighten and cheer your day.

Without your sacrifice, our country may not last;
Without your courage,
our military would surely fail the test.

Whenever you think of those that you have left behind,
to take care of all the chores,
Know that each task is undertaken gladly,
because we honor all that you stand for.

Each of you takes a stand for our freedom,
each of you is willing to lend a helping hand.
For what other purpose could there be as admirable,
as that of helping our fellow man?

Our streets may sometimes seem empty,
our homes without that familiar face.
But, we never forget that you are there,
in another time, in some distant place.

Our prayers are whispered softly,
as we lie down to sleep,
that your lives shall be spared,
and that you are His, to keep.

Good Night, to each and every one,
Thanks for a job, that is being well done.
We love you and miss you,
and are proud, indeed,
to know that our Americans are always,
there for others, in times of need.

And for all the soldiers who have passed,
in the light of early dawn,
may your memory be honored and cherished,
and continued, on and on and on.
