For Friday, June 21, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

But, the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength . . .
2 Timothy 4:17

Sometimes whenever tasks are especially difficult, maybe we
should just quieten ourselves, and trust that Jesus is by our side, giving us
His strength when we need it most.
The Way often is not clear, so we have to leap in blind trust to begin
a vision which has been birthed into our spirits.
It is comforting to always know that He's at our side, and close
enough to give us His helping hand.

Open My Eyes

God, open my eyes so I may see
And feel Your Presence close to me. . .
Give me strength for my stumbling feet
As I battle the crowd on life's busy street.

And widen the vision of my unseeing eyes
So in passing faces I'll recognize
Not just a stranger, unloved and unknown,
But a friend with a heart
that is much like my own.

Give me perception to make me aware
That scattered profusely
on life's thoroughfare,
Are the best gifts of God
that we daily pass by,
As we look at the world with an
unseeing eye.
~~ Helen Steiner Rice~~~

Note: Please continue prayers for Leo, as his surgery was postponed
until Friday morning for the five bypass heart surgery. Thanks.

Have a safe, and blessed weekend, Family.

For Thursday, June 20, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He answers him from
His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand.
Psalm 20:6

As we pray for blessings, I think we often may take for granted,
the goodness of God, Our Father.
As we walk in our journeys of faith, we should be as interested in
the things which we can do for Him, as we are in the things which He
can do for us.
A Christian with a heart bent on doing for others, helping others,
is one who truly seeks the heart of God and with more of His children
living their lives in such a way, this world would be a far better place.

Dear Father,
As we beseech Your throne for various things,
may we be mindful of our worthiness to receive
and may we know You as Our Father,
rather than the Giver.
We have been so blessed, Father, as Your
children, with treasures that are priceless,
simply because of Your great love for us.
May You know us, as we approach You,
as loving children, who meet with You every day,
instead of those who only seek You to fill a need.
Thank You, Father, for Your generosity, for Your
blessings, and for Your unconditional love.
In Jesus' name, we pray, and believe, Amen.

Make Me Worthy
Make me worthy, Lord and Savior,
Of Your blessings and Your care
That enrich my life with graces
And fulfill my crying prayers.
Let me be a faithful servant
to the Christian ways of life,
That are worthy of Your blessings
And deny me pains of strife.
Make me worthy, too, Lord Jesus,
Of the friendships I endear
That have proven true and treasure
In my trials of many years.
Make me worthy and deserving
Of these loves of Christian hearts,
Who are partners to my struggles
And the blessings You impart.
~~~Michael Dubina ~~~~
Note: Please pray for my brother-in-law, who is having heart surgery
Thursday morning for five bypasses. Pray for no complications,
and surgeon's skill, and God's wisdom. Thanks.
For Wednesday, June 19, 2002
Good Morning, Folks !!!
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen Me,
you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have believed."
John 20:29
As trials appear, it is interesting to learn from ourselves,
if our faith disappears. Nothing tests our faith as much as
a storm.
The ill winds of the enemy may howl and rage fiercely,
but the gentle voice of Our Savior brings the calm.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle
I do not ask that He must prove
His Word is true to me.
And that before I can believe,
He first must let me see.
It is enough for me to know
"Tis true because He says 'tis so;
On His unchanging Word, I'll stand
And trust till I can understand.
~~~E. M. Winter ~~~

Please continue prayers for Elizabeth Smart, for her safe return
very soon, strength for her parents.

For Tuesday, June 18, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world;
this is the victory that overcometh the world; even our
faith.
I John 5:4

Take a look around you today. Look at your relationships,
your finances, all of your concerns.
Wherever you are right now, either faith or lack of it,
has placed you there.
You may be in a situation where you feel like giving up,
throwing in the towel, and walking away, but faith never
gives up, faith keeps adding hope.
We must build our faith, our faith isn't instant. Whenever one builds,
he stacks one brick at a time, nails one piece
of lumber at a time, until the structure is complete.
If you are looking at something that needs some faith
applied, begin to speak faith from your lips what God can do, not what you cannot do.
Don't let the enemy hinder you with discouragement,
and stand against him with every ounce of courage that you have, and speak forth
the truths of Jesus Christ.
You will feel so much better, after having done so, and
will be victorious. There may be battles and skirmishes
in our lives which the enemy may send our way, but the
war is always won by Our Lord Jesus. He carries the
banner of triumph every time.

Going His Way

Because God sets a special course
for each of us to go,
I do not ask the where's and why's,
Why do I need to know?

Because God holds us in His hand
wherever we may be,
I walk in faith so nothing stops
me from my destiny.

So, should you stumble, even fall,
or cry in pain or fear,
just listen and you'll hear Him call,
"Fear not, for I am here."

For Monday, June 17, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for You are the One I praise.
Jeremiah 17:14

Knowing that we have a Father in Heaven, Who knows us,
Who understands us, Who saves us from ourselves,
is a blessed thing. Blessed be the name of Our Lord.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

My Father understands me,
better than I, myself.
He knows exactly what I need,
and sends forth His angels to help.

I trust Him with my problems,
I trust Him with all my wealth.
I trust Him to show me my way,
so that I may prosper and be in good health.

He understands my every mood,
and all matters of my heart.
My Father is my Everything,
and leads me safely through the dark.

My steps shall not stumble,
I shall not falter or fail.
For God is my everyday Planner,
and He wishes me nothing but well.

I am silly when I do not stop to consider,
all the world His hands have made,
and how He wishes to watch over me,
from the cradle to the grave.

He does not sleep nor slumber,
His eyes are kept on me;
Oh, why, would anyone ever think, Father,
that they can live happily without Thee?

Note: Please pray for Elizabeth Smart, that she may be
returned home safely, and alive. Pray for her grieving parents, as well.
