Good Morning, Folks !!

And we know that in all things God works for the good
of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

Our measures of trust are blessings, often
bringing us peace of mind in a not so kind and peaceful world.
As we trust God for all things to work for the good, we must know that
no matter the outcome, after He has decided, it shall
be a blessing in some way, and we are able
to see His wisdom and experience it, gaining wisdom for
ourselves, and thereby, strengthening our faith.

The Blessings of Trust

Trust gives a purpose to our earthly life,
Makes it rewarding, and well worth the strife.
The virtue of trust can free us from care,
The lever of trust can lift from despair.
Trust calms troubled minds
in times of distress.
It serves as a balm to soothe and to bless.
It's a safety valve for our emotions,
It controls our acts in great commotions.
It's a dynamo of Divine Power
that brings strength to us,
in our weakest hour.
It sheds an aura of love and of peace,
It makes discontent and resentments
cease.
~~Sister Mary Gemma Brunke ~~

Have a blessed weekend, Family, and
for all those traveling, a safe one.

Good Morning, Folks !

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
Ephesians 3:17

As Christians, we have Jesus Christ dwelling within our hearts.
We have to be very careful which pieces of furniture we place into the chambers of our hearts.
If we place pride, arrogance, rebellion,
hatred, greed and all the other disobedient traits, Our Lord cannot dwell there. We
push Him out.
Be mindful of what you place in your hearts. There is no letter "i" in the word,
"He".

The Half I Cannot Tell

My heart is overflowing
With gratitude and praise,
To Him whose loving kindness
has followed all my days.

To Him Who gently leads me
by cool and quiet rills,
And with their balm of comfort
my thirsty spirit fills.

I feign would tell the story,
And yet I know full well,
The half was never, never told,
The half I cannot tell.

Within the vale of blessing,
I walk beneath the light,
Reflected from His glory,
that shines forever bright.

I feel His constant Presence,
wherever I may be;
How manifold His goodness,
How rich His grace to me.

My heart is overflowing
with love and joy and song,
As if it heard an echo
from yonder ransomed throng.

Its every chord is vocal
With music's sweetest lay;
And to its home of sunshine,
It longs to fly away.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
Psalm 85:10

If someone were to come up to most people, asking what they
desire most, many would name different things.
A new job, a new car, a new boss, a new look, more money, or any
number of things may be mentioned right off the top of the head.
But, what most people really and truly desire more than anything
else is peace.
Peace cannot be found in PURCHASES, but it can be found
in PURPOSES.
Our purpose is to serve Our God, in the best capacity, of whatever
duty He has called us to do.
His purpose, His will, IS our peace. It is as simple at that, Family.
He holds our peace in the palm of His hand. Whenever we find Him,
we find it. :-) Praise the Lord.

River of Peace

There's a gentle river flowing
deep within the soul.
It is never a torrent raging,
it is never out of control.

It trickles light and steady,
and strengthens as we grow;
A dam of water rushing,
as when of Jesus, we come to know.

The rivers of peace are silent,
and held deeply, locked within.
The dam inside bursts open,
as we begin to walk and talk with Him.

Note: Please pray for Billie Anne, for strength to return; feeling zapped by midday.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

May the favor of the Lord Our God rest upon us . . . .
Psalm 90:17

Whenever something rests, it lies perfectly still. If God's favor rests
upon us, then it will not be moved.
Such a wonderful thought, and a wonderful place to be, in our spiritual walks.
May the favor of God rest upon us always, every day.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

His Favor

I long to lie upon the pillow,
which is held by God's own hand;
The pillow of rest and comfort,
which is offered to every man.

He sends forth His word to heal us,
We are rescued at His command;
but the resting of His favor upon us,
encourages us once again.

May His favor seek you and find you,
as you kneel down before Him to pray,
May His favor ever lie softly upon you,
as He shows you the way.

For Monday, July 15, 2002

Good Morning, Folks:

Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise;
apply your heart to what I teach . . . .
Proverbs 22:17

It is important that we apply not only our minds, but our
hearts, as well, to the Word of God. We must be able to
feel the message, as we read, and we must be able to convey the
message with our hearts, as well, as we live.
A heart that is dying is a sad thing. It isn't able to receive from
the Word, to receive the love that was intended for it, and neither is it able
to give the love, which was meant for it to share.
It is much like a garden, untended, withering, drying up
in the baking soil.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

A garden that is tended,
grows rare and beautiful things;
rows of perfect intricate petals,
rows of healthy green.

A garden that is forsaken
knows neither bud nor flower.
It thrives not in the sunshine,
and only withers with each waking hour.
