For July 26, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

For just as the sufferings of Christ flow
over into our lives, so also through Christ
our comfort overflows.
2 Corinthians 1:5

Watching the funeral service of Samantha Runnion last night
was an awesome display of God's comfort, shared
through so many people, to the family of
Samantha.
Erin Runnion was strengthened not only by the comfort of
God's people, but also by their love, for a child they didn't even know.
Only God can move people to react in such a way, with so much love in
their hearts.
May we always remember that regardless of how defeated things
may seem, God is always able to extend His comfort, His love to each of us.

In Sorrow

In grief, we feel the sorrow
of another precious life lost,
We feel the pain of facing tomorrows,
without those we love most.

We understand the tears,
as they come falling down as rain;
We feel the warmth of His great love,
as it embraces and sustains.

We sometimes dwell in happy days
often feeling unloved and unblessed;
And upon the times we are weary,
we often seek His rest.

God is there to reach out to us,
offering compassion so that we understand,
that regardless how terrible the tragedy,
He enables us, by His strength, to stand.

In honor of Erin Runnion.

Have a safe and blessed weekend, Family.
Let others know that you care.

Good Morning, Folks !!

I will declare Your Name to my brothers .. . . . . Psalm 22:22

The most important relationship that we have in life is that which we
have with Our Father God.
The next relationship, which He concerns Himself with, is that of ours and our family.
We have a strength which comes from our families, which is like no other.
Whenever a person is away and becomes homesick, they are longing for that strength.
Nothing can replace it.
It is much like the strength which we can only obtain from Our Father God. Both are
unique, both are very much needed.
The bloodlines of our families carry
the unity of closeness, which when pooled all together provides strength. Whenever
there is strife and conflict within a family,
that band of strength and unity is diminished, and the fragments of love are
scattered, which also fragment the soul.
A family should be a fortress, the same as Our God is. Don't allow the
enemy to tear down the walls of your fortress, and if
already torn down, do not allow them to remain that way.
If there is no seed of Abraham in your family, determine to become that
seed and let your branch grow to intertwine with
the other branches of your family tree.
Cast aside past grievances, pride, and
all the other tricks of the enemy, which he uses to keep you divided. There is no
stronger person in the world, than the one who will swallow pride, in order to make
amends.

Dear Father,
We come today, to honor You,
Your faithfulness, and Your goodness.
We praise You for Your wisdom,
and for Your help, which is ever present.
Father, we lift up families today,
and we ask, in the Name of Jesus,
for a special blessing, and especially,
for those who are in conflict, distress,
estrangement, and who are walking
without You.
Father, heal every family and bring back
those who have strayed from the cords
of unity and strength, and place the
longing in each heart, to come home,
from wherever they may be,
or from whatever situation.
May there be reconciliations,
forgiveness, and love abounding, Father.
We thank You and give You all praise,
for answering this prayer today,
and we love You, Father.
In the Name of Jesus, we pray, trust,
believe, and seek You, Amen.

Good Morning, Folks !!

You are not a God Who takes pleasure
in evil; with You the wicked cannot dwell.
Psalm 5:4

Whenever things seem not to be going as they should, it is difficult to maintain a
cheerful heart, but God has always reminded us to keep our eyes on Him, rather than
on circumstances. It is important that we keep our hearts of faith.
If the injustices seem too overwhelming,
we must remember that Our Father is a
Father of justice, a Father who loves justice.
His ways are not our ways and for a heart that is devoted to Him, who
seeks Him, He will always find a way to comfort, and bring peace of mind.

He Stands by Me

He stands by me in trouble
And times of great distress.
He helps me face each problem
That causes me duress.

He strengthens and sustains me
In times that I feel fear.
He is my Inspiration
And fills my heart with cheer.

He comforts and consoles me
In moments of despair.
He makes my life far brighter
By helping in it share.

Whenever I may need a Friend,
I know that I will find,
That God is always standing by
to bring me peace of mind.

For July 23, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

A wise man has great power, and a
man of knowledge increases strength. . . .
Proverbs 24:5

There is and always has been, an enemy
stalking the children of God, spreading lies
and rumors.
He has made many come to believe that they are less than
they are, that they don't have a right to perfect health, that they don't
stand a chance to get financially ahead, and that they do not have the power
to stand up and claim all that is rightfully theirs, as children of Almighty God.
Our God makes our ways perfect. If we
surrender our lives into His hands, we are not only able to sustain the
troubles we face, but we are capable and equipped to
overcome them.
He gives us a shield of victory, not a shield of defeat. He sets us high upon a rock,
above our enemies, so that we look down upon them.
We have allowed foreigners in our land
too long, to come in and rampage us, as in the days of old. We have been
instructed, as King David, to seize our land, and to
possess it. We own it.
We carry the blood covenant of Our Father God with us
and we have no reason to walk in defeat of anything.
We should act like members of the royal family and not like
street urchins who have no one to turn to. We have Our
God, and with Him, we have it all.

In Quietude

I know not how by hand or arm,
God sweetly doth console;
It's not by worldly happenstance
He pacifies my soul . . .
Deep within, there cometh peace,
A child of His, I be,
He worketh all to my own good,
And sets my spirit free.
What ever I am, God views the whole;
My wilted soul takes wing!
He lifts to bless my earthly ways
What Heaven's best can bring.

For July 22, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

"You are My witnesses," declares the Lord,
"and My servants whom I have chosen, so that you may know
and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was
formed, nor will there be one after Me."
Isaiah 43:10

We all realize that we are creatures of
habit. We have brought habits into our
adulthood from childhood, and sometimes,
we are not even aware that we have done
so.
Then, we enter into relationships, and marry and sometimes
those habits may clash with the inherited habits of our spouse. We either learn to
blend our habits together, or constantly struggle with the other's until it steals
away our peace.
The one true habit we need to agree upon, is the habit of walking in faith. If it
is not a habit we are accustomed to, it is a habit which we can develop and develop well.
There isn't one situation in our lives, not one, that can keep us in fear, in torment,
or in constant strife, that the habit of faith cannot destroy.
Maintain your peace by developing and perfecting a habit of faith, every day.
Take faith with you everywhere you go.

FAITH

She keeps me in the sunshine,
upon a raw and cloudy day.
She keeps me on the straight path,
as I humbly make my way.

She keeps my spirit joyful;
In my heart, she places a song.
She leads me into paths of righteousness,
upon being tempted to do wrong.

She wraps her warmth around me,
as a blanket in the night.
She keeps my spirit quiet and peaceful,
and drives away all fright.

She's a loving and gentle companion,
and she so patiently awaits.
Her name is ever precious to me;
She's called the Spirit of Faith.
