Good Morning, Folks !!

"Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and
depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur.
It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love."
Author Unknown

We learn, as the years roll onward and we leave the past behind,
that much we had counted sorrow,
but proved that God is kind,
that many a flower we'd longed for, had
hidden a thorn of pain,
and many a rugged by-path,
led to fields of ripened grain.

The clouds that cover the sunshine;
they cannot banish the sun.
And the earth shines out the brighter,
when the weary rain is done.

We must stand in the deepest shadow
to see the clearest light;
and often, through Wrong's own darkness,
comes the welcome strength of Right. :-)
~~~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox ~~~
Dear Father,
Many are standing in the midst of shadows today,
seeking the clear light.
We understand, that in order to exercise
our faith,
we have to grope for awhile.
Father, may Your mercy and Your compassion shine down
upon these readers today, as they seek You,
in all their circumstances.
Father, may Your wonderful peace
fill their hearts, their minds, their spirits,
as they wait, and as they
contemplate.
Lord, bless them as they linger in the
gray of the shadows,
and bring discernment, and total understanding,
of Thy most perfect will for them.
Bring them ever closer to You, Father,
and remove all fear, all anxiety,
and may they cast these cares,
unto Your willing hands.
Father, we love You, and thank You,
and I pray this prayer, in the
name of Jesus, believing, trusting, and thanking You.
Amen
Continue to pray for Jennifer Short. She was possibly seen here in Winston-Salem
tonight, with a man driving a blue pick up truck; police are combing the area.
Note. I will be away from the computer for
the next few days. Sorry for the
interruption of the devotionals.
Have a safe and blessed weekend.
Good Morning, Folks!!
..... but the righteous will live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4
Our faith carries us through the valleys of despair into the gardens
of joy and rapture, as we see triumphs turn into victories.
Our faith keeps us singing the songs of joy, rather than the odes of sorrow.
Standing firm, holding fast onto the promises, brings God even closer, and
confirms that He is ever present.
Faith
Faith is the eye that sees God,
No matter how dark the day.
Faith is the hand that holds Him,
on the steep and rugged way.
Faith is the heart rejoicing,
accepting God's promise true.
Faith is the ear that listens,
to the voice that speaks to you.
Faith refuses to doubt Him,
Though others are filled with fear,
Faith is believing the Word,
And knowing that God is near.
Prayers needed: Please continue to pray for the little girl
in Virginia, who has not been found.
Please pray for the sale of my books to pick up, as well. Thanks.
For August 19, 2002
Good Morning, Folks!!!
For God has bound all men over to disobedience, so that He may have
mercy on them all.
Romans 11: 32
Perfection is impossible for humanity.
Many try to live perfect lives, demanding perfection in all that concerns them,
but we, as humans, were not created to be perfect, and so disappointment always
follows, and the sense of failure along with it, from expecting too much.
We will never live lives successfully, without God, without His help, without His
sovereignty.
He is the Only Perfect One, and we must surrender ourselves to His perfection,
and let Him rule over our lives, in His perfect wisdom. We may not always be
happy, but we shall see happiness in the end result, beyond that which we could
imagine.
Who?
Who can possibly match
the wonders He has done?
Who can possibly match
the work He's begun?
If left to Him completely,
ruled in His infinite power,
We shall see His majesty,
in every waking hour.
He needs no consultation;
He seeks not our advice.
We only have to trust Him,
that He is perfect,
and all things turn out right,
just right.
