For Friday, September 6, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may
be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God
and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:12-13

Children grow up, and as they mature, they are subconciously filing the many acts
of love and kindness, or the disparaging seeds of rejection, which they have experienced,
into the memories of the heart.
It may take years to overcome the seeds of rejection, but for those who have experienced
the acts of love and kindness, they clutch them tightly as they make their way.
The fruit of the heart will be produced from whichever seeds have been sown.
Unto the children, with love, sow. It may be the only love they will ever know.

Our House

It was a safe and restful place,
no lock secured the door.
Rocking chairs, and bits of lace,
were part of the decor.
The kitchen was a favorite spot,
cheerful, plain and neat.
An iron coal stove kept it hot
and cooked good things to eat.
In Winter, there were featherbeds,
to keep us snug and warm,
and when the heat of Summer came,
Nature's foliage kept us cool.
Old fashioned, yet so wonderful
are those remembered days,
When Godliness and simplicity
helped guide us in our ways.
~~Elsie Natalie Brady~~

Have a safe and blessed weekend, Family.

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4

The troubles of the world can bring so much pressure at times, and as we are
human, we sometimes feel crushed, alone, forsaken, and weak from them.
Our faith keeps us ever close to Our Lord Jesus, and His strength sustains us
in those heartwrenching experiences that make us
become debilitated.
He knows that we are children, not born to be perfect, not born to be captivated
by the world, but to experience life through not only ourselves, but through the lives and
hearts of others, as well. We are all one and the same.
His comfort is everlasting, His love never fails. Praise the Lord for His comfort,
whenever we feel powerless, helpless, and insecure.
The world is truly a wilderness, and the forest can be a frightening dwelling
place, but His companionship makes us strong.

My Friend

I have a Friend I've never seen
but just as sure as night,
My Friend keeps close watch over me,
makes sure things are all right.
His helping hand is always there,
whenever I may fall.
And though I backslide, now and then,
He loves me through it all.

In sorrow, I can turn to Him,
in secret, shed my tears.
He soothes my every heartache,
and drives away my fears.
My Friend's full name is Jesus Christ,
I love Him, yes, indeed.
He never fails to comfort me,
whenever I'm in need.

For Wednesday, September 4, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!!

But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses
the servant of the Lord gave you; to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways,
to obey His commands, to hold fast to Him and to serve Him with all your heart and
all your soul.
Joshua 22:5

If we place Our Lord first in our hearts, in all things, this command is not so
difficult, but we must walk in this perspective, trusting Him to tend to those things
which we have no control over, which may loom ahead upon our pathways
awaiting, and to lead us with His power, by the day, hour by hour.

Dear Father,
I offer You myself today,
to prod, to prune, to nurture,
as I travel along my way.

Let me do my tasks lovingly,
let me not heed to despair.
Let me be the person You desire,
and take my every care.

Let me not balk, or
run about complaining, that I'm in
need of this or that,
Just let me remember Thy promises,
and keep my eyes not upon the future,
but here on today,
in the place where I'm at.

Your kindness, Lord, I savor,
I long for Thy compassion, too.
Help me to be the best servant,
being there always, for You.

For Tuesday, September 3, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you
may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
I Peter 1:6

To many of us, September has always been a welcomed month, due
to cooler temps and relief from Summer's heat.
Now, September has become a poignant
reminder of the terrorist attack upon our
country, our people.
As we look back in reflection of that very sad time a year ago, may
we be drawn from sorrow and grief, to the healing power of
Our Father, and may all those who were directly affected by the tragedy, be
blessed and comforted by His love and everlasting
compassion.
May this September be special to each one.

September

The golden-rod is yellow;
The corn is turning brown;
The trees in apple orchards
with fruit, are bending down.

The gentian's bluest fringes
are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed,
its hidden silk has spun.

The sedges flaunt their harvest,
in every meadow nook;
And asters by the brookside,
make asters in the brook.

From dewy lanes at morning,
the grapes' sweet odors rise;
At noon, the roads all flutter
with yellow butterflies.

By all these lovely tokens,
September days are here,
With Summer's best of weather,
And Autumn's best of cheer.

But none of all this beauty,
which floods the earth and air,
is unto me the secret
which makes September fair.

"Tis a thing which I remember,
to name it, thrills me yet;
One day of one September,
I never can forget.
~~Helen Hunt Jackson~~

Please pray for all the truck drivers, and employees of Consolidated Freightways,

Happy Labor Day!!!

Good Morning, Folks!!

Be joyful in Hope, patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12

Our hope should bring us joy, and the joy in our hearts, should produce
Hope and unwavering faith, believing for the best of whatever is to come.
Living with that attitude, will most certainly gladden our spirits, and please our
Father God.
May He strengthen us all in our joy, as this year continues to creep on by, and
may we remain a steadfast family, filled with belief, free from fear, and filled with the
knowledge of His wisdom.
If we are fearful, the enemy has a stronghold, but if we remain faithful, and
filled with hope, he has no leg to stand upon. May God increase Hope in each of us,
this week, and fill our hearts with joy. May the enemy limp, instead of roam.
Praise the Lord.

"Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, we cast the shadow of
our burden behind us."
