For Friday, October 25, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

"Take My yoke upon you and learn from
Me," for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:30

Giving Our Lord, our cares, our concerns, in complete surrender, is often not easy.
So many times, we begin to hand them to Him, then jerk our hands back, tormented
by yet another thought, which hadn't crossed our minds.
Trusting Him is what He wishes most, that we would do. Whenever we learn to trust
Him, He will manifest Himself in our lives, and show us the way to rest, to truly
rest in Him.

I May Not See the Answer Now

He promised He would give to me,
the things I need each day,
And I believe it in my heart,
each time I kneel to pray.

For when I call upon His Name,
and seek His face in prayer,
Through faith I see the answer is
just waiting for me there.

I may not see the answer now,
But still, I must believe,
For He has never told a lie
and never will deceive.

He gives me everything I need
And even so much more.
My mind just cannot comprehend,
the blessings left in store.

The answered prayer may not be "yes"
or it may not be "no",
And yet, He answers for the best,
because He loves me so.

And He can see beyond this day,
just what is best for me,
So, I must pray, "Thy will be done",
and then wait patiently.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2

Within close proximity of where I live,
there lies a tobacco field. In the middle of this tobacco field, there
stands a rustic, weather-torn, two story house.
This house has gradually become delapidated and only a few wooden
beams hold up its sides, and as you peer within, there is nothing but open
space and a few tattered boards holding the structure in place. The windows
have long departed.
The family hasn't torn down this house,
because so many memories are held within its frame. Upon looking at the
house, it needs no explanation, as one can tell that many happy times, and
many tales have been spun from the comforting walls which
once were.
It will fall someday, but all of its own accord. Each year, it becomes less
and less of an old homeplace, and just an open space
with beams, rafters to peer through.
It is much like that of the human spirit.
If not tended, our walls will become hollow,
open spaces, with no substance inside.
We know, however, that at the collapse of our bodies, we have a Heavenly
home, a mansion awaiting, and a Father standing at the door. The mansion is
ready, and is filled with His abundance, His blessing and His reward. Praise God.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

There lies beyond the horizon,
a farm; tobacco leaves, shining in the sun;
Rows and rows of labor,
hard work, when day is done.

Within the house, there lies fond memories,
of times spent, long ago.
With every splitting splinter,
tales, which only few still know.

The home was built with love,
and comforted with care.
The Presence of the Savior, His Spirit,
filled the doorframes there.

Now, the house is just a shambles,
a mere image of what used to be;
But, oh, that house was precious,
and still is, to my family and me.

When this life is over,
When all the fields are cleared,
Our harvest will be waiting,
in that City, which shall appear.

Our Father, stands eagerly watching,
for us to reach the Heavenly skies,
Such a welcome that shall greet us,
as He looks into our eyes.

Our Heavenly home will sparkle,
as the early light of dawn, glistens upon the morning dew,
Such a mansion, up in Heaven,
awaits me and you.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you, guard it with the
help of the Holy Spirit Who lives in us.
2 Timothy 1:14

Guarding our faith, in times of stress, uncertainty, may truly be difficult,
but we must not allow fear to attach itself to us, and weaken our faith, chip
away at our faith. Rough times call for tough believers.
It is our faith which makes us strong, and to be anything less is the stepping
stone for the enemy. Given an inch, he will take a mile. He knows our weaknesses,
and at the most opportune time, he will grasp the slightest inkling of fear, and enlarge it.
Our faith builds us up, makes us strong, and keeps us adrift on stormy seas.
Our faith comes from the Lord, and He is faithful to the faithful, everlastingly, without end.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

Dear Father,
For those who are gripped with fear today, bring Your reassurance,
in the peace which only comes from You.
Father, speak to the wavering hearts, which are tossed, and calm the storms.
By Your hand Alone, we may remain strong, confident that You are in control,
of all circumstances, and all things which seem out of control.
Let us be reminded, Dear Lord, that it was Your hands, which created this world,
and Your hands, which have all authority.
As we cling to You today, Father, help us to be able to share our faith, to
demonstrate our faith, and to rise up with faith, into
victory, into gladness, and into the inner courts of Your sanctuary, where we may
feel embraced and surrounded, by Thy great love, hidden away completely in
Thy refuge.
May we become victorious in our faith today, Lord, and rise above all fear, all
apprehension, and all anxieties, speaking with authority, through our faith in You,
rebuking strongholds, and claiming the peace which belongs to us, rather than fear.
In Jesus' name, we pray, trust, and believe and give You all praise, all thanks, all glory,
Amen.

Prayer Request:

Instead of a prayer request, this is a call for those who speak with the
authority of Christ, to strap on their armor, to call into action, the warring angels
to come, and to help fight against this murderer, who is stalking our streets.
We stand together, mighty and strong, and we claim the power of Our Almighty God,
to take control of this problem, and to drive the enemy out from his hiding place,
into plain view, and we claim the peace, the
strength of our faith, to rise, and make us strong, undefeated, unscathed,
and claim the victory which is ours, by His greatness,
His goodness, and by His might and power.
By Your words, Father, it has been written, and by Thy power,
it shall be done.

For Tuesday, October 22, 2002

Good Morning, Folks !!

For here, we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the
city that is to come.
Hebrews 13:14

A dream is an anticipation, a place in the heart, filled with the substance of Hope,
silver-lined with the accent of imagination and desire, which is progressed, into creation
like you and me.
God has dreams for us, which He wants us to accomplish, dreams which were designed
just for us, before we ever came to be.
Sometimes, we may expect too much of some, not enough of others.
May God lead us so that we ignite the
spirit of Hope in all men.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

If you never knew a day of sunshine,
and was racked all day, with pain,
would you be able to feel the refreshing
showers, of a steady, pouring rain?

If you never felt a loving touch,
from a mother or a dad,
would you ever be able to become demonstrative,
for that, which you've never had?

If you always flew with fettered wings,
striving for dreams, far out of sight;
Could you ever be hopeful for a better day,
when you've known nothing but the night?

What we are, are all things from the past,
what we dream are those things we've
never been;
Only by the gift of vision, and determination,
will we reach that star which lies within, deep within.

For Monday, October 21, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

But now that you know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you
are turning back to those weak and miserable principles?
Galatians 4:9

It is often difficult to live a righteous life, without wavering, depending upon
the persons and the situations which continually touch our lives, but if we
are spiritually strong, determined, and desire to be spiritually mature, our faith
will buffer us and we will make it through.
Living in the world today, by worldly rules, is a miserable existence. There
would be no hope, no understanding, that there is a better way, and that God is
able to direct us and divert us away from situations, which may affect us adversely.
The principles of God lead to a successful life, a life of true purpose, and fulfillment,
an abundant life of joys unimagined. We never know how long, or how short, our lives
may be, but we can live it victoriously, each day, through Christ.
Share with someone today, who is in the dark, and lead them into the Light of Christ.

Present Tense
A tiny seed asleep in the dark earth,
awakening to produce a lovely flower. . .
The buried root winding up through the cold ground,
sending out new shoots. . .
The bare tree lifting leafless branches
toward the gray-washed sky,
anticipating promise and fulfillment ... .
God breathes into the heart of all things:
Life has its time of being.
Though I may possess a winter heart,
Lord, give me that springtime growth
and renewal.
