For Thursday, November 14, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

. . . . they will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Isaiah 35:10

Our sicknesses, our pain, our sorrow will end whenever we embark upon
our Heavenly journey, set foot upon the streets of gold, and walk where
angels tread.
God has given His people a promise, and
no sickness, no death, shall conquer us, as we will be rejoicing whenever
we leave our mortal bodies behind.
Such a blessed thought, such an encouraging thought, and such a wonderful
God and Savior have we.

I enter the Gates of that City,
And, oh, such beauty I see!
Streets of gold that sparkle and glisten,
and prisms of color burst all around me.

I walk through the Gates of Heaven,
Angels waiting, surround me there.
Little children come rushing to greet me,
I'm speechless, as I stop to stare.

Never have I seen such beauty,
Never have I felt so much joy;
All the cares, the burdens of yesterday are gone,
and so many wonders, my mind to employ.

I cross over the bridge
of the River Eternal,
flowing full, flowing free.
Choirs of angels all encompassing,
as I feel their love encircle me.

Such sweet promise,
such reward,
for a human such as I,
The Glory of God in the Highest,
waits beyond the celestial skies.

For Wednesday, November 13, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

Praise be to the Lord, to God, Our Savior, Who daily bears our burdens.
Psalm 68:19

God's blessings are sometimes taken for granted, and often we are blessed in
ways which we know not, as the One Who never
slumbers is attentive to our needs. He also
knows when, that exact timing, which will bring the greatest blessings.
Just knowing that we are blessed each day, that we are wrapped in His
perfect care, His perfect love, is really a lot to be thankful for.

God Bless You

I seek in prayerful words, dear friend,
My heart's true wish to send you,
That you may know that, far or near,
My loving thoughts attend you.

I cannot find a truer word,
Nor better to address you;
Nor song, nor poem have I heard,
Is sweeter than God bless you!

God bless you! So I've wished you all
of brightness life possesses;
For can there any joy at all
Be yours, unless God blesses?

And so, "through all thy days,
May shadows touch thee never",
But this alone: " God bless thee",
Then art thou safe forever.

For Tuesday, November 12, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

The day of the Lord is near for all nations, as you have done,
it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own
head.
Obadiah 1:15

In times of restoration, deliverance,
for those who have been held in bondage, is always
welcome.
Soldiers respond to the calls of war, and
are stationed at strategic posts to enforce
the deliverance process.
But, as in all wars, the end result is casualties, not only of
life, but of mind and
spirit, as well.
We must strive to follow God's leading,
marching through the gates which He has
designated, and never frown upon or rejoice over the
misfortunes of the captured.
Respect for humanity is necessary for any and all honor
which comes from war.
As this week continues, let us remember
the veterans, and into the coming holidays
ahead. Showing our thanks may not feel as if it means very much,
but for them to hear of our appreciation, makes them feel honored,
as they should be.

Chosen to be soldiers,
in the army of the King,
is a highly honorable duty,
and is a mighty awesome thing.

It requires no military training,
but a restoration in the heart,
and should always hold commitment,
to finish that which we start.

A soldier in the army of His Most High,
the King,
should lead us into victory, by His Power,
with each battle which life brings.

For Monday, November 11, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more;
The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of
sorrow will end.
Isaiah 60:20

Whenever the hand of Time pulls down the
shade upon the late evening light, once again, the earth is
enveloped in darkness.
Whenever we, as Christians, however,
are in situations where the light has become faded and we
are surrounded by darkness, where truths have become gray, we
draw upon the strength, the promises, the Word of Almighty God,
so that His light will so shine upon us that we need no other light
to illumine our way.
His light is so powerful that it outshines the sun and the moon and
leads us safely and confidently, into pathways which we think our footsteps
would never be able to go.
As we lean upon His truths, His timing, His perfection, we come to know and
understand that darkness even, makes no difference, when we have Him.
Praise God.

Father,
Your light is just so precious,
as it illumines the paths I take;
I never have to grow fearful,
that maybe this is one I cannot make.

Your light shines deep within my soul,
and out of my heart, it beams,
touching upon all those around me,
embracing me with love,
giving me ever, a song of praise to sing.
