For Friday, December 20, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Next week, I will be visiting with company and away from the
computer, for the most part.
I will, however, touch base with emails, to see if any prayers
are needed.
I hope that each of you will have a very Merry Christmas, and
a Happy New Year.
You will be in my thoughts as I prepare for Christmas Day, and
I pray that God will keep you safe, wherever you are, and
will keep you and all that is yours, blessed
in His bounty, His abundance, His peace.
God bless you.
Merry Christmas to ALL !!!
Sandra

Manger Child

May I hold Him, Mary,
tenderly but tight,
Nestled on my shoulder,
on this Holy night,

Softly crooning to Him
soothing lullabies,
As sweet angel voices,
echo from the skies?

When the shepherds wander
off to tend their sheep,
May I whisper to Him,
Till He falls asleep;

Then, when deep in slumber,
Softly kiss His head,
As with care, I lay Him,
on His manger bed?

When the dawn awakens,
and I must depart,
I will hold Him, Mary,
Deep within my heart.

For Thursday, December 19, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

There will be many gatherings to welcome the dawning
of Christmas Day, in homes, churches, and various places
across our land. Sweet are the memories of those special
moments, when the thought of Baby Jesus crosses the minds
of men.

Welcoming Christmas Day

The walk to church was sharp and brisk,
upon a cold and wintry night.
The church bells chimed,
the snow brightly glistened,
by the radiance of the light.

We gathered around the Christmas tree,
ornaments, made by hand, were hung.
Voices blending, angels descending,
to hear the chorus of old time carols,
being sung.

Candles glowing, pine boughs hanging
at every windowsill;
A song in the night,
hearts as one,
the world outside, peaceful and still.

This was a special place in the heart;
starlight twinkling from afar.
Serenity surrounding;
love and cheer abounding,
while gazing upon a faraway star.

The Prince of Peace is acknowledged,
the Babe in the manger did lay;
Such a reverent and awesome invitation,
to welcome Christmas Day.

May we all welcome Christmas Day
in peaceful brotherhood,
and recall those things which Jesus
brought,
Faith, Hope, Love, and everything that's good.

For Wednesday, December 18, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

As in every month of the year, there are those who are ill,
hurting, and in pain.
Christmas comes and there may not be
many reasons to be joyful in the family, in the home. May we send
up special prayers for these, this season.
In keeping Jenny Cowan in thought this
Christmas, I send this poem for all those
children out there, who are ill, who may be in hospitals, who may
be suffering.
May God bless you, and keep you in the
shelter of His mighty wings.

God Bless the Little Ones

God has sent His special angels,
to encamp around you there.
They bear upon their fragile wings,
His hugs, His kisses, and His care.

May He hold you in His arms,
and keep you in comfort sweet;
May you rest your little head,
upon His pillow of peace.

Know that many are sending
their concern,
and lifting you up in prayers;
May you see notes and cards of love,
surround you everywhere.

Every note is written
and being sent from hearts of love,
with visions of Heavenly angels,
descending from above.

Close your eyes now, Little One,
and get some needed rest.
God wants to heal and restore you,
so that you can be your very best.

For Tuesday, December 17, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!!

As we celebrate the holiday season, we celebrate birth, new life,
and a Savior, Who is more than able to save us and deliver us,
from not only evil, but death, as well.
May His truth and His power manifest in
our nation, our world, in a more magnificent way, in ways which we
have never seen before.
I believe that God is bringing changes,
and that we shall see things we have never
seen. I pray that they will begin
immediately and usher in the New Year,
with new gladness, new wine, and new joy.
Praise God.

Christmas! Christmas!
A day of celebration.
Christmas, Christmas,
A time of Peace and Joy.

The season bring new Hope,
new meaning,
by the birth of a little Boy.

May the season of Love and Giving,
be shared among all nations.
May the wonders of His love,
be seen by all generations.

As we share with one another,
and pass the cup of Peace,
May we see those long imprisoned,
fall upon their knees.

Glory to the Father!
Glory to His Son!
May the Holy Spirit move,
and touch the hearts of each and
every one.

Today in the town of David a Savior
has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.

Jenny update:

Is doing some better, has had an operation, but still is
unable to be moved to Shriners Hospital. Continue to pray for
her, for her family, and especially her dad.
The fire was caused by his lighting the fireplace, and gasoline
splashing upon her body.

For Monday, December 16, 2002

Good Morning, Folks!!

Hope your weekend went well. I have decorated and now
our house looks officially like Christmas.
Our little tree is only about 4' tall, but I have it decked in green,
white, and gold, with little white bows, polkadotted in gold.
The transformation from simple tree to
beautiful tree is amazing. As I turned all the lights on, I thought this
must be how we look, as the light of Christ shines through each of us
and we are transformed. Praise
the Lord.

Christmas is Love

Christmas is more than a time for sharing,
and holiday cheer.
Christmas is laughter,
and happy times spent,
with those we hold special and dear.

Christmas is a feeling,
A spirit which rises within.
It's a time for rejoicing with family,
and recalling happy times again.

Christmas is giving,
and presents spread, beneath the tree.
It's reaching out to others,
who are less fortunate than we.

Christmas is a multitude of hearts,
joined together, as one;
kindred spirits blending,
having lots of fun.

Christmas is special;
a magical time of the year.
It's when everything and everyone
seems to become more precious and dear.

Christmas is a lot of things,
and all of the above.
But, most of all, it's for remembering
the birth of the little
Christ Child,
and His everlasting love.

Oh, where would we be,
without the Baby Christ Child
and His love?

This will be a sign to you;
You will find a Baby wrapped in cloths
and lying in a manger.
