Good Morning, Folks!!

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will
run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31

The tragedy of the Space Shuttle loss has
struck a cord in all of us. We grieve the losses of these
lives, and can sympathize with the families and loved ones.
Peter Jennings made a comment the other day about the
shuttle being only thirty-nine miles above the earth, whenever
it exploded.
This comment stayed with me all day.
In honor of the lives lost, here is a poem
I have written, in their honor.

Someone Called My Name

Before the world awakened and arose,
I heard Someone call my name.
Never again will I walk among flowers,
but my love with you, shall remain.

In the early morning hours,
as dawn stirred,
I heard Someone call my name.

In skies becoming bright,
I saw a Light;
my work on earth is done.

I'm flying higher than I've ever been,
way beyond the rising sun.
It's time to end this flight,
my work on earth is done.

I've seen stars twinkling in the heavens,
close enough to touch;
felt as if soaring on eagles' wings.
I have risen above the clamor and noise
upon the earth,
and I have seen many wondrous and
mysterious things.

I'm traveling now to places I have never
explored,
to new heights, new heavens unknown;
I was so close to being there with you
once more,
only thirty-nine miles from home.

My journey is done,
I shall now dwell in peace;
In the Heavenly realms I shall remain.
It was early in the morn',
when the blackbirds sing,
that I heard Someone call my name.
