A Message of Love

February 14, 2003

neither height nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39

We are as a tree, filled with the fruit of
the Holy Spirit, the fruit of love.
As such, we bear fruits of love, so that others may
come and pick from our limbs, the fruit.
At the end of each day, our limbs should
be bare, and at night, as we rest, the power of the Holy Spirit
is replenishing afresh so that we may be full the next day, in order
for needs to be met.
Giving of oneself is necessary, is a requirement, of a Christian.
If we are surrounded by some who challenge our beliefs, who
wish to test our strength, we are not to react in like spirit.
The Christian acts and responds to adversity in love, and is
strengthened by the fruit which has been granted upon his
or her tree.
A strong tree will withstand any storm.
It may bend a little, it may lean, but after
the storm passes, it shall remain standing,
tall and strong.
The love which is generated in us by the Holy Spirit does
not demand, does not accuse, does not condemn, does not blame.
Rather, it is a patient and kind and generous love which demonstrates
self-control and faith, in all adversity. In doing so, the love within our
hearts, likewise, demonstrates the purpose of Jesus Christ.
Our lives should touch others in a most
powerful way, should speak to others, of this love, without
saying a word.
A life filled with love pays no heed to the distractions of our
circumstances, worldly things, but presses on to complete the work
which we are all called to do.
Love is the knowledge that we can depend upon the strength
of Almighty God, to be a blessing toward one another, regardless
of the situation surrounding us.
It is the outward confirmation that we are filled with the fruit
of the Holy Spirit, and it is the willingness of an obedient and
trusting heart, to be "picked clean" by those
in our midst.
Love is yielding, giving, and sacrificing for the sake of others.
God is love and we are all love through
Him. Love has been, is, and always will be.
Love is acknowledging Christ, His power. He is our true and
faithful Valentine.

Dear Father,
We come to You, in the name of Jesus,
and we ask for Your forgiveness,
of all our iniquities,
our self-centeredness, lack of self-control,
discontentment, blame, and all
imperfections which hinder and delay
Your precious promises for us.
Cleanse our hearts, our minds, and our
spirits today, so that we may receive
from the blessing cup, not only for ourselves,
but so that many others may be blessed,
as well.
Bring to our attention, Father God,
all areas where we have not yielded,
surrendered, or submitted to You.
Fill us with the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
May it increase in us every day, so that
we may experience
Your supernatural love, understanding,
and grace.
In the name of Jesus, we pray this
prayer, believing and trusting that You
will answer,
and we give You all praise, honor,
thanks, and glory forever.
Amen

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21

As we face opposition, pitfalls, and strife from others, we
must live as Jesus did.
Every attack being sent our way, if challenged in love,
will become a blessing for us.
Daily, we must challenge the evil, with
acts of kindness, love. Little by little, surely, we shall
overcome and gain the victory.

Dear Father,
You are our Rock of Courage;
A Fortress in times of trial.
We seek Your arms of comfort,
as we wearily walk each mile.

In the arms of Our Lord Jesus;
under the umbrella of Your grace,
We are able to love our enemy,
those who need to seek Your face.

With Your arms of strength around us,
We can make it through.
The pathway of Your salvation,
leads us straight to You.

You made us and formed us
and sent us to the earth,
Your promises have sustained us,
ever since our births.

Guide our thoughts
and help us to trust You every day;
Whenever we come to a crossing,
Show us the everlasting way.

Good Morning, Folks!!

"I will remain in the world no longer, but they are
still in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father,
protect them by the power of Your name, the name You
gave Me, so that they may be one as we are one."
John 17:11

Living in perilous times, can produce in
us either strength or weakness.
If we are strong in Christ, we have no fear, as we
are in obedience to Him.
In His Word, the Lord repetitively states that we
are not to fear.
His power is able to abolish every weapon which
may be sent our way, as we stand in Him, surrendered
and believing.
Nothing the enemy has, can overcome the power of
Almighty God, and no lie can prosper to inflict fear, unless
we are weak, and willing to hear.
Praise God for His Almighty power to protect, guard, and
guide every arrow which is sent our way. By the time it reaches
us, it shall be reduced to nothing.
This is our heritage.

In the center of the circle
of the will of God I stand;
There can come no second causes,
All must come from His dear hand.
All is well for 'tis my Father,
Who, my life, hath planned.

Shall I pass through waves of sorrow?
Then I know it will be best;
Though I cannot tell the reason,
I can trust, and so am blest.
God is love, and God is faithful,
So in perfect Peace I rest.

With the shade and with the sunshine,
With the joy and with the pain,
Lord, I trust Thee! Both are needed,
each Thy wayward child to train,
Earthly loss, did we but know it,
often means our Heavenly gain.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Lamentations 3:26

Resting in the promises of the Lord,
trusting in Him completely, brings reassurance, peace,
and calm.
Rushing about in frantic behavior,
fretting about what might be, and trying to
resolve things of our own accord, is not living the Christian life.
The Word of God speaks to us and tells us that God will
not forsake us, and that our salvation comes from Him, to wait
quietly and trust.
There is no peace, like that which comes from our Father.
Praise God.

My Daily Prayer

The hour that I treasure most
is when the day is new,
Before the rush comes crowding in
with tasks that I must do.

As I humbly kneel in prayer,
all fears and worries cease;
There is no other time I know
that brings this inner peace.

I thank God for His blessings
and seek forgiveness, too,
For there are wrongs that I have done,
and good I failed to do.

I ask His guidance for my day
on pathways old and new,
that I'll be kind to those I meet
in all I say and do.

I pray for each dear loved one,
and place them in His care;
I pray all men will live as brothers
in places everywhere.

And should it seem that no one cares
and I am feeling blue,
It's then I hear His voice so sweet,
"My child, I still love you."

When the day draws to a close
I give thanks for all that's been,
And ask that He'll keep watch over me,
till morning comes again.

No need have I for counting sheep,
I'm in the Shepherd's care,
What peace is ours when we begin,
and end, each day with prayer.

Good Morning, Folks!!

Simeon took Him in his arms and praised God, saying:
"Sovereign Lord, as You have promised,
you now dismiss Your servant in peace.
For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have
prepared in the sight of all people, a Light for revelation to
the Gentiles, and for glory to Your people Israel."
Luke 2: 28-32

Simeon was able to hold in his arms, the
Baby Christ Child, the Messiah, the Anointed One,
the answer to all his prayers over the years.
There is never a time of such thanksgiving as we
are able to actually hold and touch, an answered prayer.
It is in that moment, that special moment, that
we are nearer to God, feeling His reality,
witnessing His reality, experiencing it.
Praise God for answered prayers. May yours be
answered today.

Deep down in my heart,
there is a well;
A place where only My Father
dwells.

He knows my aches,
He knows my pain.
He always answers,
when I call His name.

This dwelling place,
which is in this heart of mine,
is such a sweet place,
holding love divine.

In this garden, the trees bear their fruit,
so sweet to the taste;
I dare not take for granted,
or let go to waste.

Oh, such a sweet place,
in my heart, He dwells;
the birthplace of prayer,
the anointed wells.
