Good Morning, Folks!!!

Since You are my Rock and my Fortress,
for the sake of Your name lead and guide me.
Psalm 31:3

With so much going on to trouble us in this world,
nerves are frayed, tempers can
become short, and misunderstandings erupt
quickly.
Let us be sensitive to the emotions of others,
and take into consideration, that they may have a son,
a daughter, a husband, or a wife serving in Iraq.
Some may want to take some extra time to talk, if lonely.
Our compassion for others, will strengthen us, and will enrich our
Christian walks, and will leave a pleasant blessing with others,
as well.

My Prayer

Lord, with earnest heart I pray,
Guide me, hold me, one more day.
With Your loving hand in mine,
Make me whole and pure and fine.

Along the road I walk today,
Guide my path and show the way.
Cleanse me now, and make me whole,
whole in body, mind, and soul.

Always, God, I pray to Thee;
Help me, Lord, and walk with me.
The path is long, the road is steep,
I stumble, fall and often weep.

Help me rise and walk today,
with hope and love, come what may.
In all I do and all I see,
I feel Your Presence there with me.

Lord, my God, please guide my way,
walk beside me one more day.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

These were His instructions: "Take nothing for the journey
except a staff, no bread, no bag, no money in your belts."
Mark 6:8

Our journeys take us to faraway places,
into distant lands, which we thought we may never travel.
As our lives progress, our paths cross with foreigners
to our land, and we begin to understand the different cultures, the
wonderment of the differences.
Jesus instructed His disciples to carry only a staff, which
represented power and authority.
If we go along our journey, depending upon His power, His authority,
it really is all that we need.
Praise the Lord.

The Barren Desert

The barren desert stretches far,
and reaches the distant horizon,
The pathway winds long and weary,
underneath the heat of the sun.

A day in the desert,
brings thirst, hunger, and sometimes, pain;
but as we trod along the committed way,
in His will, we shall remain.

We need not money to purchase,
as there is nothing that money can buy,
which will lead us into His wisdom,
which will give us understanding,
whenever we question, "Why?"

We need not take a picnic,
as we go through the desert to fast;
It is spiritual food we are seeking,
the kind that will ever last.

As the night winds swirl around us,
we may cover our heads from the sand,
and it is then, that we draw nigh unto the
Savior,
and begin to understand,

That our desert journeys are needed,
to produce perseverance, character, and
to teach us how to endure.
His Presence always with us,
His Peace, Perfect and Pure.

Good Morning, Folks!!

His heart is secure, he will have no fear;
in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
Psalm 112:8

It is a blessing indeed, as God allows us
to look in triumph upon our foes.
He knows each and every detail of all
that we struggle with daily, and His might
will carry us through.
Some days may be long, weary, but He renews
our strength, and we have the Hope
in our hearts, the knowledge, that He looks
over us with compassion and mercy.
Praise God.

The Power of Littles

Great events, we often find,
on little things depend,
And very small beginnings
have oft a mighty end.

A single utterance may good
or evil thought inspire;
One little spark enkindled
may set a town on fire.

What volumes may be written
with little drops of ink!
How small a leak, unnoticed,
a mighty ship will sink.

Our life is made entirely
of moments multiplied,
As little streamlets, joining,
form the ocean's tide.

Our hours and days,
our months and years,
are in small moments given;
They constitute our time below,
Eternity in Heaven.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

"He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so
all went well. Is that not what it means to know Me?"
declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 22:16

As servants of the Lord, we must continually be concerned
of the poor and needy, not only in our own country, but in
other countries, as well.
If one knows Christ personally, that
concern will be automatic, will be kept in mind, and
will be responded to with love,
whenever called to the attention of the
Christian.
Knowing Him is caring for others, helping others,
in their times of need. There is always something that can be done,
if we have a servant's heart.

The Silence of the Lambs

How dark the night of doubts and fears,
as seen through sorrows' bitter tears,
when morning seems light years away,
adn we crave the warmth and light of day.

How sad the heart that lonely beats,
like heavy footsteps on empty streets,
when no one seems to know your name,
and every day is just the same.

How sweet the voice of someone dear,
the loving touch of someone near,
who takes your hand and leads the way,
until you see the light of day.

How fond the memories we share,
of those God sends to love and care,
for when hearts beat like fighting rams,
we seek the silence of the lambs.
