August 28, 2003

Home from Montgomery and have a lot to share, so will send to all.
Computer is acting up big time, so I hope this message will go through, as it is urgent.

Wake Up, O Sleeper,
the Son has Risen.
Sing, while the songbird still sings.

As I stood in the Valley of Achor this week, I have come to understand, more than ever, the dilemma which Christians are facing today.

One knows NO such pain, as that of seeing the Word of God
being removed, from one day to the next. The Associate Judges took the task upon themselves to remove the monument, because no contractor in the area would touch it.

They removed the monument sometime between the time we left
on Tuesday night and 5:00 a.m. the next morning.

The empty space where it once was, sends a stabbing wound into a Christian heart. It is completely wrenched and the mind is flooded with thoughts of how very, very precious are the words of Almighty God, as each day passes.

As I walked down the streets of those city blocks of Montgomery,
I looked at the beautiful architecture of the stately buildings,
upon the finely manicured lawns, and I saw not only the
setting which held the grief of today,
but also, the pain and agony of yesterday, of those who
have suffered, in order for us to have a free nation,
and have the ability to honor the God of our nation.

It concerns me greatly that the number of supporters was
so low, those who stood in protest.
Some churches, we came to understand,
were afraid to participate, due to their fear of
losing their 501C filings.

A lady came from a church who has 1,200 members,
and she recognized no one there from her church.

Almost four hundred years ago, a group of Christian people
held a dream in their hearts to come into a land,
where they could worship their God and build a nation
upon that faith.
Today, the dream of all Christians, should be to keep the Name
and the Word of Almighty God before us, in both public
and in private places.
Without God's blessing, these same brave and courageous
Christians would never have endured, and without His
blessing today, this nation will not endure as we know it.

I asked a group of women to come with me, to lay hands upon that building and pray. None of them rose up to help me do that.

As I lay my hands upon that wall, I felt not only despair, but I felt
the coldness and the hardness of that wall. God reminded me, right there, that this wall was like the hearts of many of His people today. I could not help but cry.

God is examining the minds and hearts of His people today, Folks,
and He considering their many excuses why they cannot go,
cannot stand up for His Name.

If this attitude remains, Folks, He will be absolutely powerless
to come to our defense. This is critical. We are on the verge,
Family, of being under tyranny, in every form.

This is an URGENT call that I make to each of you. If you
possibly can, go to Montgomery, Alabama, and make a stand for
what is right in our country. Let your voice be heard.
Let the number of God's people increase and may they go
and stand upon the steps of every courthouse, in every county
of this land, proclaiming that He is the MOST HIGH POWER in
America. Hold your banners high.

If there is an ensuing battle near you, go there and support the
name of Almighty God, and take other supporters with you.

I do not like what I have seen, I do not like what I have heard,
and I, for one, will not let the enemy take over our nation,
as he wants to. Please help, in any way, you possibly can.

Get your message to the judges, the associate judges, and to all
in power, that we stand, and we stand TALL for Almighty God.

News from Montgomery, Alabama

Has been a very scorching, sweltering day, and a day of interesting and moving experiences.

The unity of those who have come to Montgomery to support this cause has been overwhelming. People have come from all across the United States, and we understand that many more will be here by the end of this week. Many drove all night last night, and still were able to participate in the support activities today. Many young children, young adults were here, and that is very uplifting.

Several Alabama newspapers have been here today, along with the news teams from many local and major networks.

There has been so much discussion about these Ten Commandments in their presence, and we hope that this has been a witness not only to them, but to all across the nation, who are hearing this discussed and may be giving a more complete understanding of God to those who may not know Him.

First thing this morning, we walked to the Capitol building to announce to Mr. Pryor that we were all there, and asked his
meeting with 4 of the pastors and Pat Mahoney of Christian Coalition.
They were unable to meet with him, but they did meet with the administrative assistant.

Later in the morning, we walked over to the judicial building which houses the Associate Justices and tried to serve subpoenas for each of them, but they refused to accept them.
The Sheriff's Department had to serve them.

The subpoenas were to file a suit stating that the removal of theTen Commandments would be unconstitutional.

A judge in Mobile, Alabama tomorrow will be holding a hearing about this latest lawsuit. Prayers need to be lifted for favor of Christian rights and against the eight Associate Justices.

Later this afternoon, the Christian Coalition received a written response from the eight Associate Justices. In part, the written response stated that it WAS constitutional to display the Ten Commandments and to acknowledge God in public places, but since the Federal judge had ruled against it, they must comply.

It is the question of the Christian Coalition how a Federal judge has the right to violate the Constitution of the United States.

We are all in agreement that this controversy is not over the 5,300 pound monument which sits in the State Judicial building, but we are concerned for the future of Christian rights in America, and to be able to acknowledge God in public places all across our land. We feel that the decision made here may help others in the same controversy. Let's pray that the final decision will be in our favor.

Please be in prayer about this decision which is to be made tomorrow in Mobile, Alabama and for the attorney (Brian) who will be defending the Christian movement.

I will be heading back home tomorrow afternoon, and will not be online tomorrow.

Pray for all the support, those traveling to Montgomery,
and for all those in conducting the affairs of the Christian
Coalition from Virginia. They have worked tirelessly.

Thanks for prayers, Sandra

Good Morning, Folks!!!

And of this Gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.
2 Timothy 1:11

We have all been appointed a herald of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is our duty to speak of the Gospel, to wear it like a garment, and to act in faith upon it.
In so doing, we bring honor to God, we bear witness to His truths, and we show Him our respect, revering His Holy Name.
If we remain silent, we are being disobedient, because we have received of His wisdom and have been told to share.
His Word is everlasting and shall last forever, even after the Heavens and the earth have all passed away. Praise God.
Share His Word.
