Good Morning, Folks!!

But the more I called Israel, the further they went from Me. . . .
Hosea 11:2

I wonder how many times God called each of us, before we finally heard His voice?
An obstinate people, caught up in their own devices, are difficult to reach. If they are proud and arrogant, they want nothing to do with the kindness and compassion of Our Lord.
God says that He does not come in wrath.
He didn't send Our Lord Jesus into the world to condemn it, either.
It is a loving God, a caring Father, whose voice we hear, as we return to Him.
Praise God.

My Heartprints

The older I become,
the more I am able to turn,
and see footprints behind me.

Some, I'd like to erase completely,
and some, I'd like to engrave into
the earth.

God doesn't look at our footprints;
He looks at our heartprints,
to weigh and consider our worth.

As I walk along the future pathway,
I pray to leave a mark,
which will never be erased,
but held deeply in the deposits
of another's caring heart.

Good Morning, Folks!!

Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men.
Proverbs 4:14

Those who work wickedness and evil usually beget evil coming back to them, in a myriad of ways, without realizing it.
Evil people are miserable, and want everyone else to be, along with them. satan does love company. he wanted Adam and Eve to join him. he was lonesome and needed someone else to operate through.
We don't know much about the relationship between Adam and Eve, but we can pretty much determine that it was
racked with strife.
If he can interfere in a relationship, twist conversations into lies, and work his evil through the weak, those who do not know God, he is able to carry out wicked schemes, to a certain extent.
But God will protect His righteous ones from evil, from the evil one. He assures us of that in His Word.
Those who pay money to cast evil spells upon another, are only wasting their time, where God's people are concerned. The Blood of the Lamb is the only shield we need. Evil cannot touch it. :-)
The thoughts we carry in our hearts, the envy, jealousy, and strife, only cause sickness and disease, and ultimate death.
A wicked and evil person will age much faster than one who is not bent on evil, holding evil desires. Scriptures tell us that envy rots the bones, and upon looking at someone who has spent years in envy and jealousy, it is very visible.
Envy is dangerous, and one of the most dangerous things it accomplishes besides harming oneself, is that satan will use that evil, to visit your own children with it, and it will be passed down.
The best legacy we can leave our children is one of faith and righteousness. A child reared to think good thoughts, to not hate or covet, will continue on that path, when older.
Another reason that evildoing is dangerous, is that God instructs His people not to pray for them, or offer any plea or petition toward their behalf, because He will not listen. This is very powerful.
Working in evil methods, in evil desires, out of God's will, only brings disaster upon one's health, and that person shall not walk in victory.
Guard your hearts, and your minds. Do not let evil enter there.

On Kindness
Kind words accomplish miracles,
where threats fall on deaf ears.
No one is ever ruled through fear. . .
However, it appears.

No matter what the challenge is,
or choices we must make,
Each one of us must choose the path
our feet are meant to take.

How often we have criticized
what we don't understand,
claimed God's right to judgement,
which was not given man.

Imagined that "we know it all"
and in our foolish pride,
accepted tales as true, before .. .
we know the other side.

Dear Lord, forgive our blindness,
Who see ourselves as strong,
Teach us, though we're often right,
that we are sometimes wrong.

Help us to keep in good repair,
this small glass house we own,
and grant our hands be quick to help,
but never throw a stone.
~~Grace E. Easley~~

Prayer Requests:

Marlene - undergoing tests for heart and lungs, pray for good report.

Suzanne - testing for colon cancer, pray for
nothing to appear.

Mike - building home, needing direction about land purchase.

Our Military troops - that God will bless them with His shield of favor, and protection, overseeing all maneuvers and
patrols.

Iraqi people - to come to understand that our troops are there to safeguard them, and help them establish a peaceful nation.

Hurricane Isabel - to weaken dramatically by midafternoon.

Pray for all messages of hatred to be overpowered by messages of love, of Christ, and that many will be removed from blindness, in all nations, including America.

God bless each of you today.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

It was good for me to be afflicted so that
I might learn Your decrees.
Psalm 119:71

If we think back upon the times we have suffered the most, have needed God in our lives the most, we soon realize that it was then that He was closest to us.
Those times, even though painful, are very dear. We grow, learn, and prosper through these times, as never before.
God is very aware of every circumstance which we face. His Presence will fill the dark days, those days when all seems hopeless, abandoned, and prodigious, without a peep of sunshine in sight.
He draws us nigh unto Him and we are held closely. He teaches us in ways that are magnificent, and schools us in His plans.
Praise God for His love, for the tenderness of Our Lord.

The Answer is Jesus

The answer is Jesus,
to the questions of Life.
He's the only solution,
to sorrows and strife.

The answer is Jesus,
when we lose our way.
He's the Anchor we cling to,
when we go astray.

The answer is Jesus,
to each sinner's prayer.
He died on the Cross,
our burdens to bear.

The answer is Jesus,
each day of the year.
He's the Blessed Assurance;
we have nothing to fear.

The answer is Jesus,
to the questions of Life.
He's the only solution
to sorrows and strife.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? . . . .
Psalm 13:2

The enemy's playground is the mind. He is a tormentor and will rule in one's thought life with despairing, depressive,
and destructive thoughts.
Why is this ground so important to him? Because he knows that all actions, all deeds, and attitudes begin with the thought.
It is not until we take control of our minds, contradict his word with the Word of God, that we can triumph over him.
Many cannot and do not triumph because they do not know the Word of God, His ways, or His promises.
In order to keep ourselves strongminded, we must be Wordminded. It is the only way we are going to overpower the
tormentive thoughts, the suspicions, the doubts that the enemy uses to keep us less than what we can be.
The enemy will only triumph over you, your mind, as long as you allow him.
© Sandra Lewis Pringle

Dear Father,
I pray for all who read this, in the name of Jesus, that Your Word will be so full in their minds, Your promises so
fresh upon their lips, that whenever the enemy comes in, to steal away their joy, they will be equipped and armored with
Your Word, to guard their joy and peace, so that it is not stolen from them.
Father, give us the strength and the wisdom to seek Your Word, to know what it says about our circumstances, and to be able to confront the enemy, whenever he sneaks in, to whisper lies.
Father, post angels at the gateposts of our minds, and guard our thoughts. Keep our thoughts in line with Your thinking,
and with Your Word, so that we will remain victorious over our minds, and in turn, all of our actions and deeds.
In the name of Jesus, I pray, trust, believe,
and thank You, Father, Amen.

In GOD We Trust.

Pray for the messages of love to overpower the messages of hatred in the world; that God will reach the lost, through His children, and that Christianity will increase in numbers; for spiritual revival in America.

Good Morning, Folks!!!

Praise be to the Lord, for He showed His wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city.
Psalm 31:21

Walking in faith, sometimes, requires that we walk in places of unfamiliarity.
We may encounter opposition, misunderstanding, and those with proud hearts, who are too haughty to hear the Word of God, to accept His love.
This is sad, indeed.
The Lord will show us, always, the best way to be the beacon light upon the hill.
If the Lord didn't trust us, He would not send us into such an atmosphere. He is depending upon us. Shine.

Oh, Give Me Courage

Oh, give me courage, Lord, today,
to face what comes along.
Give me the faith and love I need,
to fill each day with song . . .

Oh, give me courage, Lord, today,
to follow in Thy way,
Help me to do what I should do,
and hear me when I pray.

Oh, give me courage, Lord, today,
and strength to do Thy will;
Lead me and guide me, Precious Lord,
for I need Thy Presence still.

Oh, give me courage, Lord, today,
Come wash away my pain.
Thou art my Master, Lord, and King,
and ever shall remain.
