Good Morning, Folks!!

And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years."
Genesis 1:14

Just as surely as we mark off the days of a calendar, we know the date of which one season begins, another ends.
We see the trees beginning to modestly array their brightly colored leaves, with bits of gold, amber, and rust.
God has arranged Nature to reveal the upcoming events by signs, either in the skies, or on the ground, in the air.
It is the same as with the spirit. Whenever change is coming, the spirit stirs, and it reveals that new things are about to take place, producing excitement, and eagerness to see what God has planned.
We grow from season to season in our lives, each marked by the days, and all of the events which have brought us into the
Autumn.
May we see God moving, this season, in new ways, in new things, and may we all
be blessed.

In Praise of Autumn

What can we say of Autumn
that hasn't long been said.
When oaks put on their lovely cloaks,
in varied shades or red .. .

And maples, not to be surpassed,
doff orange and yellow crowns,
while sassafras and cottonwoods
wear multi-colored gowns . . .

The harvest lies by roadways
bins overflow with yields,
from far-flung farmyard acres,
amid the burnished fields.. . .

Yes, all's been said of Autumn,
Yet it ever gives a yen,
to poetic hearts to scamper,
for paper and for pen.

Prayer Requests:

Michelle - hair condition, pray for restoration. Also, for ministry for women, which she has a desire to begin.

KC - new job opportunity; for asthma condition, which may be affected by upcoming surgery. Pray for protection.

Linda, caregiver for dad - pray for strength, wisdom, and guidance.

Family of Stephen Gates, Age 27- sports reporter for Greensboro t.v. station - killed while changing tire by I-40 over the weekend, by a hit and run driver.

Peace in Jerusalem, in all of Middle East.

Military troops - safety, security, and protection while serving.

Pray for messages of love to overtake and overpower the messages of hatred, in the world; for conversions, as the message of Christ reaches the ears of those confused.
