Good Morning, Folks!!!

"All day long I have held out My hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations."
Isaiah 65:2

As I read this verse, I can picture in my mind, an image of Christ, standing nearby, as we have scampered to and fro, almost in a panic, trying to control, manage, and orchestrate our lives.
In this statement, I can hear His frustration.
He has witnessed the predicaments we have helped to create in our lives. He has watched on as we have struggled in vain, to accomplish that which He has not purposed.
I can imagine seeing Him holding out His hands, calling us by name, as we, in our misguided directions and focus, disregard His call, His love, His offer of help, which is perfect, which is sincere.
He is always near us, much closer than what many think. He is always ready to extend a helping hand, but in many instances, He just hasn't been welcome.
If this sounds familiar to you today, if you are now in a spot and cannot seem to find the way out, remain still and listen.
He is calling out to you, and He has the answer.
Invite Him to help you, to guide you, to orchestrate, to give you instructions.
Walking in His way, you will be forever safe, secure, and certain that you are on the right track.
He will be there to guide you, making sure that you are not alone, because He loves you.
Walking with Him, is like walking snugly wrapped in the warmth of a security blanket, tucked tightly around you, keeping you in the tenderness of His love. You belong to Him, and you belong with Him, as well.
If something or somebody is keeping you from Him, isn't it time that you stilled yourself, and listened?

Dear Father,
It so often seems that we do go off
running in a dozen different
directions, at times, without taking the
time, to acknowledge You, to seek You,
or to listen.

Forgive us of that, Father, and bring
us back to the spot where we need to
remain still, so that we can hear
Your voice.

Somewhere upon the path, we made
the wrong turn, and You have been
calling and calling us to come back
to You.

Help us, Lord, if we are lost in the wrong
pathways, to find our way back home to
You; to remain still, so that You may
speak Your heart to us.

We don't want to offend You, Father,
and we repent of placing other things,
and other people, before You.

We ask You now, Father, to speak,
to turn us around, and to lead
us, as we follow, in Your footsteps.

In the name of Jesus, we ask for Your
direction, Your guidance, Your forgiveness,
and we give You all praise, honor, thanks, and
the glory forever.

We love You, Father.
Amen
