Good Morning, Folks!!

Hope all are safe and warm; has been a Winter Wonderland here today (Sunday), snowing all day, and now sleeting.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not
sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.
Matthew 6:26

On cold, snowy days, I gather much delight in looking outside at the changes of the landscape, underneath the pristine blankets of snow. Things seem to take on a brand new shape.
In so doing today, several little birds caught my eye, as they happily and seemingly gleeful, hopped from one tree limb to another, swooping down and gliding, in mid air, without a care in the world.
It reminded me of how very true this verse is. We can gain much faith by watching birds in Winter.
Oblivious to the freezing cold, the falling
precipitation, the high winds, they continually flit around, and look so joyful in doing so.
But, it is more than the joy that is evident, it is the confidence they exude, knowing they will find food, shelter, and all that they need.
Praise God for the little birds and for His provision, His faithfulness.

Snow

Softly falling, softly blowing,
upon a cold mid-Winter's day,
is the magic and enchantment of snow,
which seems as a cozy blanket,
to lay.

Upon the wooden ridges of fences,
which seem so stark and bare,
a bird in flight,
finding a crisp limb to light,
without a single care.

The white layering is a stark contrast,
to the brown, barren earth below;
So fragile, so feathery, so elegant,
as the cold winds begin to blow.

Looking from a windowpane,
to a far and distant hill;
One feels warm and cozy inside,
as the outside appearance of Winter,
brings a shivering chill.
