The Shepherd
Our Lord is a tender shepherd,
tending His flock with care.
Whenever they are in need,
He is always there.
He sits in the darkness of the night,
and listens for the call;
His eyes are roaming, His ears are attentive,
and He responds,
to one and all.
He gathers the lost up into His arms;
He soothes their cares away.
He gently loves them and guides them,
so that they will no longer stray.
He is all sufficient,
to meet our every need.
We only must learn to obey.
There is no other shepherd among men,
who can show us the perfect way.
Meet Him in the morning pastures,
in the deserts of hopelessness and despair.
Tell Him all your troubles,
and He will show you,
how very much He cares.
