Salvation Day
As the service was near completion,
he approached the altar,
to lay his burdens down.
The sinner was ready to meet His Savior,
the Sacrificial Lamb.
The choir finished the chorus,
and within the sanctuary,
there was no sound.
Suddenly, a soft breeze fell upon those sitting there,
and a great stirring began to abound.
The sinner was gripped with emotion,
which filled his heart with joy.
He hadn't known such gladness,
since he had been a boy.
The relief from years of burden,
just seemed to all melt away.
As he felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit touch his heart,
on that beautiful day.
The congregation sensed a perfect peace,
as it overwhelmed their souls.
They began to speak in tongues,
in languages, they didn't know.
The babe in Christ prepared to leave,
shaking hands on his way to the door.
He had repented and made the promise,
that he would go and sin no more.
He had entered the church a sinner,
but now,
had become a child of the King.
Songs of praise welled up inside his heart,
and he began to sing.
If only all the lost would make the effort,
he thought,
to walk down the salvation aisle,
the world would be a better place,
and living so worthwhile.

If you are a sinner,
and have not yet repented,
but desire God's rest and peace,
invite Jesus Christ into your life today.
Ask Him to show you the way.
Devote some time with Him each day,
and He will bring gladness, joy and peace
into your heart.
