In My Heart
In my heart is placed a Treasure Chest,
filled with nuggets of God's Word.
I remember the special little verses,
the favorites, which I've heard.
My Treasure Chest is pretty full.
Through the years, it has been packed.
But, whenever I need a word of Hope or encouragement,
I find myself, to the Treasure Chest, going back.
Why, I can pull out a nugget to dry a tear,
or to turn a frown into a smile.
It's amazing what all the Word of God will do,
as we consider for just awhile.
You see, His Word is special,
planted way deep down inside.
It cannot ever be taken away from me,
and neither can it run and hide.
I love my little Treasure Chest,
I hope that you have one, too.
Because without the Treasure of God's Word,
we just wouldn't know what to do.
