A House on the Shore

Let me live in a house on an ocean shore
where the surf and sand do meet.
Let me sit, my dear Lord,
at the water's edge,
where the waves gently wash my feet.

Let me feel the sun's warmth,
as it shines upon my face;
Let me watch the sea gulls flying on high,
where the water seems to meet the sky.

But, if, Dear Lord,
plans that You have for me
are not plans that I'm dreaming of;
Then, Thy will be done,
I'll be happy to know
I'm forevermore bathed in Your love.
