A Little Boy's Dreams
Father,
a very short time ago, it seems,
You gave to me a son,
who liked kites, and strings, and flying things;
things of the air,
birds with wings.
As he grew, he spoke of airplanes,
and how, someday, he'd fly.
He'd reach upward,
with his tiny little hands,
as if flying through the sky.
I taught him that dreams were made by angels in Heaven,
and were meant to all come true,
that there was a factory designed by Almighty God,
to produce such,
for me and you.
He studied hard, and worked very long,
and progressed from kites to outer space;
God had a hand upon that little boy's dreams,
and he has won that race.
But, still yet to come,
there will be more dreams,
more thoughts and wishes to come true.
How wonderful God is,
as He designs,
such creatures,
as me and you!
