If I Had the Power
If I had the power, there would not be another day,
Age would stop forever, and you would never go away.
If I had the power, we would have all the time we need,
we would plow the earth together,
sowing love with every deed.
If I had the power,
there would always be blue skies, instead of gray,
If I had the power,
all our troubles would go away.
If I had the power, our world would be a better place,
If I had the power, all would be filled by God's eternal grace.
If I had the power, our hearts would always be entwined.
If I had the power, yours would begin and end, with mine.
If I had the power, your dreams would all come true,
If I had the power, I would have more time just to share with you.
If I had the power, I would turn back the hands of Time,
back into another era, where our stories began to rhyme.
If I had the power, every heart and every mind,
would know the love that we both share,
and would spread to all mankind.
If I had the power, our Lights would always shine,
Leaving no one in the darkness, no one would be blind.
So, if I had the power, our love would be tried, and always proven true,
If I had the power, everyone would be as nice as you.
