Dear Father God,
As we look around us today,
we see that love is needed,
in every part of the world,
in every heart of mankind.

So many are misunderstood,
because love is lacking,
the wisdom of it.
Forgive us, Father,
and help us to love, as You do.

Free us from ignorance,
disobedience, and mistrust of You.

Help our nations, Father,
to peel off the layers of self protective skins,
and help us to minister,
with compassion,
to the needs of others.

Help us to lay "self" aside,
and to pick up others.

May we see joy in eyes which are saddened,
at the sight of us,
just as You would have us to serve.

May we see hope in a hopeless world,
because we, as Christians,
display Your goodness in the land.

Father,
help us to remember,
that in all of Your actions,
all of Your deeds,
they were borne out of love,
compassion, and mercy.

Help us, Father,
to show mercy and compassion to others.

In the name of Jesus,
we pray, trust, and believe,
thanking You.
Amen
