In the Presence of the Shepherd

picture

I scatter the stars,
and I hang the moon.
Why is it so difficult to fathom,
that I walk into your room?

I create the music, which is so pleasant to the ears.
Why do you think, that when you pray, I am unable to hear?

I am your Shepherd, you are My sheep,
I am always with you,
even in waters, troubled and deep.

I am your Shepherd,
and at your right hand, I stand.
I watch as you struggle,
to conform to the ways of man.

I call out your name,
and often, you do not hear.
You never seem to realize,
that I'm in the room, standing by so near.

I walk among you, in your midst;
at the doorframe, I stand.
You would be able to touch Me,
if you only stretched forth Your hand.

I listen to the conversations,
as you linger over a meal,
as you fret about a sickly child,
I send forth My Word, to heal.

I am your Shepherd,
and you are My sheep.
I am with you always,
You are in My arms, to keep.

I will never leave you,
and I have promised never to forsake.
If you will love Me and seek My kingdom first,
Your blessings shall be many, and great.
